Evaluating energy storage technologies in the context of community solar+storage
About the project
This project involves comprehensive evaluation of different Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technologies in the context of application for community solar+storage projects. It involves defining new evaluation metrics and assessing the different battery chemistries for suitability and applicability based on several quantitative and qualitative evaluation parameters such as cost, performance, safety, overall environmental impact, etc.
The evaluated chemistries and technologies will be compared and ranked on the basis of developed metrics which will facilitate decision making and selection of technologies in the context of community solar+storage.
This project is in collaboration with Prof. Javad Mohammadi.
