Pathways towards de-carbonizing the electrical grid: cases for Latin America
About the project
These are ongoing studies in Mexico and Honduras where we are helping the countries plan and transform their electric grid systems in both the medium and long term. To do this, we are looking at different least-cost pathways by modelling the electricity grid, and using optimization methods to identify and analyze in depth different viable scenarios.
Furthermore, we are now exploring communities' exposure to pollutants to quantify these effects and incorporate them into our optimization models.
